Winter time in New York City can be cold and nasty and people generally stay home to stay warm. For most people sourcing furniture this is a tough time of the year. We on the other hand have our connections that we have built since we opened our ship in 2001. We get multiple calls each day from people who are looking to sell us their furniture and decor. We are very selective and only bring the best items to our shop for our loyal customers. We still manage to bring in a truck load a day of new items. Some days we even bring 2-3 truck loads in. We have 3 other warehouses in Brooklyn where we put the extra items in when we can’t fit them in our showroom. To say we have a tremendous amount of inventory in an understatement.
If you are looking for anything in vintage and I mean anything….. we probably have it stashed away in one of our warehouses. People are always shocked when they ask us if we have something and then we bring it to them the next day.
This week alone we outfitted two restaurants with little of decor and 3 TV shows with props they needed for their sets. We provide tons of items for movies thruout the New York area. Sunday September 23rd 10am-4pm we will be having a massive sidewalk sale. Everything outside the shop is 50-80% off. Lots of great deals to be had so come on down. We will be closing for vacation from Monday September 24th and we will be reopening Wednesday October 3rd at 11am. When we return there will be lots and lots of great new items in the shop as we will be bringing in new stuff while we are closed.

This week we were lucky to get great mid century modern furniture from two homes. From a super clean Long Island home we got a great mid century modern bench, eames bent plywood chair, mid century lighting, bar,

bar stools, and much more.

Then we went to a immaculate home in Brooklyn where we brought in stunning Kent-Coffey bedroom furniture and other great mid century modern furniture. Unfortunately for some of you, we sold the bigger items from this home as we were unloading the truck, but there are still lots of other great vintage goodies to be had.

We brought in a bunch of mid century bar carts, side tables , chairs, mirrors, stools, folding chairs, nesting tables, piano stools, art, pottery, glass and so much more.

Our warehouse is packed with so many new items. The upcoming week we will be bringing in even more great items. To keep track of the new arrivals, please check out our instagram @reuseamericany to get first dibbs on them.

So Much Vintage Stuff Keeps Coming In

We like bringing in new items each day to our warehouse…… This week was no different. People have been requesting us to bring in more couches, well we brought in 4 couches this week, in fact one was sold immediately after we unloaded it from our truck. These are nice mid century modern couches from a upscale home on the upper west side. Lots of other goodies have arrived from this wonderful apartment as well.

Then we went to a lovely loft in the village we purchased a large collection of african items. African masks, headdresses, statues, carvings, rugs, bronze statues and much more. We only managed to unload 2 boxes from this home and there are so many great pieces to choose from.

We also filled up the box truck with lots of photography equipment, mid century modern furniture, lots of handmade rugs, one of a kind art pieces and a whole bunch of other furniture and of course more african items.

Special Hours For March and April 2018

We are proud to have become first time grandparents as our daughter has given birth to a bouncing baby boy. We plan on spending some quality time with him and we will be having limited hours during the rest of march and beginning of april. Please see the special hours below. Interesting Vintage Finds & Our Vacation Schedule

This week we purchased the contents of the basement of a former locksmith. In addition to tons of locksmith items like key blanks, security devices, metal signs, locks, hardware, key cutting machine and more. He was also into working with polishing semi precious stones so we got a bunch of cool stone and polishing and tumbling machinery which was used to make his creations.

He also had some cool vintage advertising displays which were displayed in his store, my favorite is the one for key clips which has a nice drawing in the center of the display.

We also brought in some nice large trunks, vintage fishing rod and reels, vintage globes, a unique glass topped coffee table with a cast aluminum base made out of mermaids, 2 mid century 1970’s chrome and wood and glass coffee tables in the Milo Baugham style, vintage mini telescope, typewriters, lots of empty vintage beer cans, Accordian, vintage tv sets, mid century side tables, industrial work benches, much much more.

There are

always new discoveries at Reuse America, we get in new items every day so you never know what you will find.

   We will be closed for vacation from Wednesday October 4 and will be reopening Sunday October 15th at 10am. Look forward to many new finds as we will be on a road trip in Pensilvania and upstate New York on the lookout for the latest and greatest items to bring to our shop
