ONE DAY SIDEWALK SALE 50-80% OFF – Vacation schedule

Sunday September 23rd 10am-4pm we will be having a massive sidewalk sale. Everything outside the shop is 50-80% off. Lots of great deals to be had so come on down. We will be closing for vacation from Monday September 24th and we will be reopening Wednesday October 3rd at 11am. When we return there will be lots and lots of great new items in the shop as we will be bringing in new stuff while we are closed.

We are always running around buying estates on a daily basis. We were lucky to gain access to several estates with great items. Of course we consider a great estate one that has mid century modern furniture in it. We brought in lots of great mid century modern furniture. While some of the pieces were snatched up right away by our savy instagram followers, there are still many great pieces available for purchase. So many great vintage pieces in the shop

This week we were lucky to get great mid century modern furniture from two homes. From a super clean Long Island home we got a great mid century modern bench, eames bent plywood chair, mid century lighting, bar,

bar stools, and much more.

Then we went to a immaculate home in Brooklyn where we brought in stunning Kent-Coffey bedroom furniture and other great mid century modern furniture. Unfortunately for some of you, we sold the bigger items from this home as we were unloading the truck, but there are still lots of other great vintage goodies to be had.

We brought in a bunch of mid century bar carts, side tables , chairs, mirrors, stools, folding chairs, nesting tables, piano stools, art, pottery, glass and so much more.

So Much Vintage Stuff Keeps Coming In

We like bringing in new items each day to our warehouse…… This week was no different. People have been requesting us to bring in more couches, well we brought in 4 couches this week, in fact one was sold immediately after we unloaded it from our truck. These are nice mid century modern couches from a upscale home on the upper west side. Lots of other goodies have arrived from this wonderful apartment as well.

Then we went to a lovely loft in the village we purchased a large collection of african items. African masks, headdresses, statues, carvings, rugs, bronze statues and much more. We only managed to unload 2 boxes from this home and there are so many great pieces to choose from.

We also filled up the box truck with lots of photography equipment, mid century modern furniture, lots of handmade rugs, one of a kind art pieces and a whole bunch of other furniture and of course more african items.

Come And Get Some Great Pieces Of Furniture and Lots of Vintage Goodies

We spent this week buying some really great pieces of furniture and tons of vintage goodies. On Tuesday, we purchased items from a large home in midwood which was under construction. Luckily, I had my hard hat in the car as I was dodging pieces of the home falling from all over the place. Not my ideal situation, but I did manage to get some great mid century modern furniture. When I entered the garage, I located some cool vintage toys that I remember from my childhood, so those were brought to our warehouse as well. We also got 8 mid century modern fiberglass chairs and some great tools.

Wedndesday, we spent the day scouting some future spots that have cool items and we struck gold. We will be bringing in some really cool and amazing stuff next week which will make alot of people happy. This place is loaded with great vintage and antique items and we cant wait to start loading our box truck with them.

Thursday, we brought in a bunch of mirrors, 15 great looking vintage windows and an incredible piece of taxidermy as well as 10 boxes of vintage small items.

Friday was a great buying day for us, we brought in 2 full vans of great vintage items including

We were busy this week picking…..

Elliot was busy this week picking in Brooklyn. Yes Brooklyn has some cool places to get some great old stuff. Many of our followers would love to go on a pick with us so we will give some lucky folks a chance in the future. Simply go to our facebook page @ReuseAmericaVintage and like us. You will also see daily updates of what we bring into our warehouse.

We were in the basement of an old tailor shop and we pulled out a nice commercial ironing table with a cast iron base from a factory, we think its from the 1940’s. Anyways it will make a great one of a kind bar to the lucky person who picks this up. We also got over 500 vintage ties brand new in the wrapper. Some are from designers like chistian dior and other famous ones. Many many more cool items came from this pick.

we were also fortunate to get a call from someone who was downsizing and we picked up some really cool mid century modern furniture. A table high corner table which is really sturdy. A pair of Knoll style wire stools. A pair of Valeigh Mid century modern side tables / coffee table which will make any room look fabulous.

We also picked up some great industrial pieces including a bunch of industrial tables and metal bases as well as 6 industrial lamps in great condition.

We got a call from a butcher company in the Bronx  to go thru his warehouse before he closes his business. We didn’t get much from him though, but it was a learning experience. We got a stainless steel meat rack, meat hooks with sliders on them and an industrial coat rack which held the uniforms of the workers of the plant

Right before closed for the day today an old car collector came to visit the store and he said he had some cool things to sell us. I was sceptical at first and then he pulled out some random parts from his pickup truck. These 1930’s car parts are going to make someone really the talk of the town. We got this great flare fender which would make a unique coffee table as is, but we will be improving on it this coming week. We also got the dashboard with the old dials and the front windshield which our talented woodworker buck will be making into yet another great coffee table.

All in all we brought 4 overflowing cargo vans full of stuff into our warehouse. Lots of great items to get. Some pictures are posted below.
