Elliot has handed over the reigns of the shop to Anthony Lawson and his team as they work to improve the shop to become a better place to shop. Other great news is that the shop will now be opened Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays from 12-6pm

Winter time in New York City can be cold and nasty and people generally stay home to stay warm. For most people sourcing furniture this is a tough time of the year. We on the other hand have our connections that we have built since we opened our ship in 2001. We get multiple calls each day from people who are looking to sell us their furniture and decor. We are very selective and only bring the best items to our shop for our loyal customers. We still manage to bring in a truck load a day of new items. Some days we even bring 2-3 truck loads in. We have 3 other warehouses in Brooklyn where we put the extra items in when we can’t fit them in our showroom. To say we have a tremendous amount of inventory in an understatement.
If you are looking for anything in vintage and I mean anything….. we probably have it stashed away in one of our warehouses. People are always shocked when they ask us if we have something and then we bring it to them the next day.
This week alone we outfitted two restaurants with little of decor and 3 TV shows with props they needed for their sets. We provide tons of items for movies thruout the New York area. Lots of Mirrors, Rugs, Tables, Dressers & Much More

We brought in so many large mirrors this week. Every home that we visited, had mirrors that we could use so we loaded up on so many mirrors. Our warehouse is overflowing with mirrors. We even got 4 full view mirrors made in the usa from a beauty salon. Round mirrors, oval mirrors, tall mirrors, ornate mirrors, gold mirrors, art deco mirrors, we have them all. Over 60 mirrors are in the shop now. If you are looking for a mirror, now is the time to check them out.

We also brought in lots and lots of handmade area rugs, persian rugs, oriental rugs, small rugs, large rugs. Lot of bright colors to keep your floors warm on those cold nights.

We always seek out mid century modern furniture and we brought in mid century dining tables, mid century dressers, mid century desks, mid century chairs and so much more.

We are so overloaded with great stuff so we are making dels like never before.

Great Furniture keeps coming in

We go out every day looking for great stuff. This week we had to visit many homes to get the good stuff. After many homes with nothing special, we were lucky to get lots of great items to being to our shop. We also managed to get lots of small items which would make great holiday gifts. We are heading to the shop on sunday morning with a full load of great vintage items. We didnt have the time to take pictures, so there will be many new items to be had. New mid century modern furniture sunday and even more coming in next week

Hey all you mid century modern lovers out there. We were so fortunate to have purchased so many pieces of great mid century modern furniture. We brought in a bunch of cool mid century coffee tables and side tables. Tile top tables, lucite chairs, lucite bar carts, lucite bench and more. Mid century modern bar carts, globes, chairs, mirrors, art, lighting of all types, rugs, sculpture and so much more.

We also brought in a bunch of velvet chairs and a loveseat. For all you boho lovers, we brought in a bunch of wicker and rattan items.

Its so hard to describe all the great items that we got. There are items everywhere. We are completely full of great stuff. Come in and be amazed at these new great vintage finds.

We are packed with amazing vintage finds

Its only thursday morning and we already brought 4 truckloads of great vintage items into our warehouse. We have been picking up great furniture, lighting and mirrors each day this week and even picking up super items at night after we close the shop. Elliot has been super busy with appointments from the city to long island. He hand selected great stuff this week and he managed to squeeze everything in the shop. For those of you who have been to our warehouse know that that is a hard task. Although everything is organized, there is so much new stuff to see. Some of you might find it easier to see the items on our instagram @reuseamericany, but we know there are a bunch of people who like to touch and see everything in person so come on down and explore our massive 6,000 square foot warehouse loaded with mid century modern furniture, lighting, mirrors and so much more.

We brought in a stunning Hans Wegner mid century modern sofa, a lovely velvet love seat, lots of great mirrors, a bunch of mid century italian lighting, lots of stools and chairs as well. There are new items all over the shop.

Elliot is heading over to another home in Brooklyn this morning so who knows what else he will be bringing to the shop.

The good stuff just keeps coming in…

We go picking all over the New York area every day and you never know what we will find. Some days we get the ordinary stuff and then some days we get great stuff. Then there are the days when we almost get the great stuff. Then there are days that we are waiting for answers from clients if they are willing to sell the pieces that you want to

buy. This week had a little of all the above. We got a bunch of regular stuff, a bunch of really nice stuff and we almost got some great stuff and we are waiting for answers on some really nice stuff.

All in all we brought in 5 truck loads of great vintage to the shop. We didnt have time to take pictures of most of the stuff. But we will try to get them done today and post it on our instagram @reuseamericany. Of course there are items that we brought in that was listed on instagram and was claimed right away, so we are not posting those pictures here.

Its always an adventure here at Reuse America and we are always hunting for mid century modern and other great vintage treasures for our customers. Our warehouse is always brimming with vintage finds.

Unique Items galore….

This past week we got called to some interesting homes and got lots of interesting items. We were informed of a building that was being torn down and we had 2 hours to remove the items that we were interested in. The pressure was crazy, but we were able to pull out some really great items. A 1940’s motorized schwinn bike, light up advertising clock from Armstrong flooring, lots of unique metal signs and so much more. We also purchased a bunch of mid century modern furniture from 2 estates in long island and we purchased over 20 mirrors from a mirror hoarder in the Bronx. This person had a huge home with 7 horse stalls which were converted to garages and they were packed with stuff. As we dug deeper we found 4 saarinen chairs and a matching table. The other items were not interesting enough for us but the mirrors and the table set were great finds.

Then we were off to a hoarder home in Brooklyn where there were hundreds of banana boxes full of stuff nicely organized and labeled. We filled the truck up with lots of vintage dolls, old toys, lots of vintage radios,

advertising, some vintage clothing, tools, and the coolest wrigley gum store displays and some tic tac displays.

We also purchased over 40 cool bar stools and vintage wood folding theater seats from a bar that closed down in williamsburg.

We are off to a home in Greenpoint this morning, so who knows what we will be finding there.
