Winter time in New York City can be cold and nasty and people generally stay home to stay warm. For most people sourcing furniture this is a tough time of the year. We on the other hand have our connections that we have built since we opened our ship in 2001. We get multiple calls each day from people who are looking to sell us their furniture and decor. We are very selective and only bring the best items to our shop for our loyal customers. We still manage to bring in a truck load a day of new items. Some days we even bring 2-3 truck loads in. We have 3 other warehouses in Brooklyn where we put the extra items in when we can’t fit them in our showroom. To say we have a tremendous amount of inventory in an understatement.
If you are looking for anything in vintage and I mean anything….. we probably have it stashed away in one of our warehouses. People are always shocked when they ask us if we have something and then we bring it to them the next day.
This week alone we outfitted two restaurants with little of decor and 3 TV shows with props they needed for their sets. We provide tons of items for movies thruout the New York area. Incredible collection of Handmade Rugs and so much more

This week we purchased over 300 vintage rugs including Handmade persian rugs, Lots of Kilim rugs, and a few Rya rugs. Our warehouse is overflowing with these great pieces. We also brought in lots of other great vintage and mid century modern pieces of furniture and of course a bunch of mid century chairs and stools. Our chair section is overflowing with quality chairs. We also organized our floor lamp section so you can choose from over 20 mid century floor lamps. We also have over 10 mid century floor freestanding coat racks. We even brought in some amazing vintage winter coats and we will be bringing in many more cool vintage jackets and coats.

We buy used furniture everyday so keep us in mind when you are moving or downsizing. We pick up used furniture within one to 3 days so give us a call at 718-807-6529 today.

Every day we go out and meet some great people as we visit homes in New York and New Jersey. Some days we buy select pieces from each home and some days we are lucky and we get lots of great mid century and other vintage items.

Lots of Mirrors, Rugs, Tables, Dressers & Much More

We brought in so many large mirrors this week. Every home that we visited, had mirrors that we could use so we loaded up on so many mirrors. Our warehouse is overflowing with mirrors. We even got 4 full view mirrors made in the usa from a beauty salon. Round mirrors, oval mirrors, tall mirrors, ornate mirrors, gold mirrors, art deco mirrors, we have them all. Over 60 mirrors are in the shop now. If you are looking for a mirror, now is the time to check them out.

We also brought in lots and lots of handmade area rugs, persian rugs, oriental rugs, small rugs, large rugs. Lot of bright colors to keep your floors warm on those cold nights.

We always seek out mid century modern furniture and we brought in mid century dining tables, mid century dressers, mid century desks, mid century chairs and so much more.

We are so overloaded with great stuff so we are making dels like never before.

Great Furniture keeps coming in

We go out every day looking for great stuff. This week we had to visit many homes to get the good stuff. After many homes with nothing special, we were lucky to get lots of great items to being to our shop. We also managed to get lots of small items which would make great holiday gifts. We are heading to the shop on sunday morning with a full load of great vintage items. We didnt have the time to take pictures, so there will be many new items to be had. Hey all you mid century modern lovers out there. We were so fortunate to have purchased so many pieces of great mid century modern furniture. We brought in a bunch of cool mid century coffee tables and side tables. Tile top tables, lucite chairs, lucite bar carts, lucite bench and more. We are packed with amazing vintage finds

Its only thursday morning and we already brought 4 truckloads of great vintage items into our warehouse. We have been picking up great furniture, lighting and mirrors each day this week and even picking up super items at night after we close the shop. Elliot has been super busy with appointments from the city to long island. He hand selected great stuff this week and he managed to squeeze everything in the shop. For those of you who have been to our warehouse know that that is a hard task. Although everything is organized, there is so much new stuff to see. Some of you might find it easier to see the items on our instagram @reuseamericany, but we know there are a bunch of people who like to touch and see everything in person so come on down and explore our massive 6,000 square foot warehouse loaded with mid century modern furniture, lighting, mirrors and so much more.

We brought in a stunning Hans Wegner mid century modern sofa, a lovely velvet love seat, lots of great mirrors, a bunch of mid century italian lighting, lots of stools and chairs as well. There are new items all over the shop.

Elliot is heading over to another home in Brooklyn this morning so who knows what else he will be bringing to the shop.

New Items This Week..

In our ever ending search for great mid century furniture and accent items, we are occasionally surprised at certain homes. We were informed of an apartment which had one mid century credenza available for purchase. It was a regular apartment however we were told that the person who lived in the apartment moved in there in 1964 when the apartment building was built. Luckily he had good taste and he purchased nice furniture at the time. This included the credenza plus much more including an original George Nelson for Herman Miller bench in great condition. We also purchased some bedroom furniture and other mid century items.

Thru out the week, we purchased many more cool items like a lucite bar cart, wicker peacock chair and much more.

Friday, we scored over 50 modern commercial bar stools made in italy includinf nice lucite ones, so if you are looking to get some nice bar stools at a great price.. it is time to come in a snag some.

If you like mid century modern furniture, then you need to come in and see our latest finds. We were searching all week for quality furniture and after 3 days of searching we were lucky to find a home loaded with great pieces. A lovely set of mid century tulip kitchen chairs, stunning signed teak Danish modern dining table with leaves, an expandable teak dining table, a teak bar cart, an original sputnik lamp, a stunning solid teak danish chair, eames shell chairs, mid century modern side tables, mid century modern coffee tables, mirrors and much more.

In our other explorations, we managed to find a huge custom-made live slab coffee table which was buried in a garage in Brooklyn. It took us over an hour to uncover, but when you see it in the shop you will realize it was time well spent. We work hard every day to bring great items to the shop. Sometimes its an easy elevator ride with the items, other times it involves lots of hard work and sweat. We know our customers like new items daily and we work really hard not to disappoint.
