Loads and Loads of Mid Century Modern

This week we were so busy bringing in mid century furniture. Our warehouse is so full of great pieces… in actuality we are bursting at the seams. We literally stuffed everything inside and did our best to make things fit. For those of you whom have been here, know that we are already loaded, but now we are really loaded. We brought in a nice george nelson style day bed by modernica, a bunch of mid century coffee tables, a bunch of mid century lounge chairs, a bunch of mid century chairs, some velvet accent chairs and a bunch of mid century modern dressers.

We also purchased the contents from a closed restaurant and got in some amazing accent pieces and decor. A Huge hand carved wall mural is just one of the masterpieces. Huge 7′ live edge mahogany dining table, large driftwood and so much more.

There is so much to see. This is the first time that we are posting pictures here before  instagram so call us if you re interested in these items. All items will be posted on our instagram @reuseamericany with sizes and prices in the near future. Please note: the shop will be closed thursday Jan 31st due to the extreme cold weather

Interesting Vintage Finds & Our Vacation Schedule

This week we purchased the contents of the basement of a former locksmith. In addition to tons of locksmith items like key blanks, security devices, metal signs, locks, hardware, key cutting machine and more. He was also into working with polishing semi precious stones so we got a bunch of cool stone and polishing and tumbling machinery which was used to make his creations.

He also had some cool vintage advertising displays which were displayed in his store, my favorite is the one for key clips which has a nice drawing in the center of the display.

We also brought in some nice large trunks, vintage fishing rod and reels, vintage globes, a unique glass topped coffee table with a cast aluminum base made out of mermaids, 2 mid century 1970’s chrome and wood and glass coffee tables in the Milo Baugham style, vintage mini telescope, typewriters, lots of empty vintage beer cans, Accordian, vintage tv sets, mid century side tables, industrial work benches, much much more.

There are

always new discoveries at Reuse America, we get in new items every day so you never know what you will find.

   We will be closed for vacation from Wednesday October 4 and will be reopening Sunday October 15th at 10am. Look forward to many new finds as we will be on a road trip in Pensilvania and upstate New York on the lookout for the latest and greatest items to bring to our shop

We got in some really nice items this week and a pair of tall oak cabinets which we removed from a warehouse in Brooklyn. We are offering $75 in merchandise to the first 2 people who guess what these cabinets were used for. Here are some hints:

  • There are 2 cabinets made of oak
  • They are around 8′ tall
  • They are over 100 years old
  • They have doors that open from the top
  • They were used to hold something small
  • They were used in Brooklyn

For those of you who have been by our vintage warehouse recently, you know it’s been getting pretty crowded. We just keep bringing in more and more great vintage finds.

We go searching around town and out of town for items our customers appreciate. We listen to our customers and seek out the items that you are looking for.

This week Elliot worked from morning till evening filling up our vintage warehouse with great vintage finds. He loaded up his van 12 times and made multiple trips to the shop each day. There was not enough space for each trip to fit the items inside the van, so he had to load the top of the van as well. He got lots of stares from people on the street as some of the loads looked like they were going to fall off his truck. I am happy to announce that everything arrived in one piece and nothing fell off the van.
