The good stuff just keeps coming in…

We go picking all over the New York area every day and you never know what we will find. Some days we get the ordinary stuff and then some days we get great stuff. Then there are the days when we almost get the great stuff. Then there are days that we are waiting for answers from clients if they are willing to sell the pieces that you want to

buy. This week had a little of all the above. We got a bunch of regular stuff, a bunch of really nice stuff and we almost got some great stuff and we are waiting for answers on some really nice stuff.

All in all we brought in 5 truck loads of great vintage to the shop. We didnt have time to take pictures of most of the stuff. But we will try to get them done today and post it on our instagram @reuseamericany. Of course there are items that we brought in that was listed on instagram and was claimed right away, so we are not posting those pictures here.

Its always an adventure here at Reuse America and we are always hunting for mid century modern and other great vintage treasures for our customers. Our warehouse is always brimming with vintage finds.

Vintage Variety is what we have… Something for everyone

When we go hunting for fresh vintage finds, we are always on the lookout for unique items. While we are always looking for mid century modern furniture, we are also looking for unique items that appeal to a broad spectrum of clients. This week was no exception, we went upstate New York scouring for different items. We managed to find lots of cool items and they are in the shop right now.

We got in a pair of vintage wood canoe paddles, a nice old bird cage, a postage stamp vending machine, A Shure studio microphone, some farm devices, even a 1920’s embossed one way street sign in mint condition. The homeowner had that sign tucked away in the attic and told me how he and his friends got it years ago and hid it from his parents. He even sold me his stash of 25 crystal glass doorknobs he had in the basement.

On our way back to Brooklyn, we stopped into a nice home in New Jersey and we scored some great mid century pieces. We got a nice 2 piece danish modern walnut couch set in great condition and a super 2 piece walnut danish lounge chair set. The lounge set sold minutes after we posted the pictures on instagram, sorry folks. If you want to get first crack at the latest and greatest, then you should follow us on instagram @reuseamericany. We also got some really groovy 1970’s lighting fixtures from the same home. Two really nice chrome mid century chrome ceiling fixtures and a nice teak and smoked lucite one as well. A nice rosewood mid century modern table and 2 Breuer Cesca cane chairs as well as 2 Giandomenico Belotti  spaghetti chairs.

We are busy every day bringing in new items into our vintage warehouse

and Monday is no exception. We brought in the contents of a former jewelers workshop. This gentleman worked on repairing watches so we got some really cool watch parts and accessories. The coolest item in my opinion is his workbench with lots of small drawers which were filled with small parts. We also got 4 mid century modern lamps which were connected to the wall. They are adjustable so they can be used in many positions. I picture them in back of a headboard. We will be returning to this home next week with many more mid century modern items from his residence, so keep posted for those great items.

We also got a nice metal trunk made in england in great condition and an antique hand pump french fire extinguisher made of copper. Some great gilded mirrors, lighting and a really nice set of powder blue Victorian parlor chairs.

For those people who like nautical items, we got 2 large antique brass porthole windows from an old ship.

Each day we bring in lots and lots of great vintage pieces. We have a group of customers who visit our huge warehouse on a daily basis because they dont want to miss the new items that arrive.  This week is no different. We went picking in homes across the city and we are still unpacking great finds today. Below please find just a sampling of new items that arrived.

If we dont have it in our Bushwick warehouse, the we probably have it in our other 2 warehouses in Brooklyn. That’s right we have over 15,000 of additional warehouse space packed with vintage not open to the public. Bring your difficult requests and we can bring those hard to find items the next day to Bushwick. We supply props to the movie industry, so no task is difficult for us. Prop masters

rely on us to have those hard to find items, so we feel confident to say that if it exists we probably have it.

Great Vintage Items Keep Coming In Every Day

Every day we go out searching for cool stuff to bring to our vintage warehouse. We search all over the city and buy lots of interesting items.
We love finding great items that our clients will appreciate. Nothing makes us happier than hearing our clients tell us that they never knew that an items existed.
People walk into our shop and are amazed by the amount of items that we have. Some people feel like they are walking into a museum, others feel like they are in a candy store. The expressions on peoples faces is what brings us satisfaction that we are doing something right.
We make sure to bring in select items that people will appreciate. Clients cant help but leave with at least one interesting piece as there is so much to look thru.
We often get comments as to how we get so many great items. Our response is that we work hard searching for great items every day of the week. While other shops wait for people to bring in items, we hit the road 5 days a week looking for unique items so that a visitor to our store will always finding new items on a daily basis.
Our regular customers are amazed that you just never know what you will find from one day to the next.
We only bring in “good junk” as one our customers recently told us. We want our customers experience to be a good one, so we are selective in what we bring in.
We bring in mid century modern furniture and lots of industrial furniture. We also make custom furniture like kitchen islands, tables, coffee tables and more.
We have a large selection of bases and we work with reclaimed wood and our woodworker makes some really nice pieces.
We have lots of unusual vintage pieces thruout the warehouse. In fact we have over 100,000 vintage items to see so come in and see what we have to offer.

Bar Stools Galore, Lots of Interesting Things Keep Coming In

Every day Elliot goes hunting for new items to bring into our vintage warehouse. You never know what will be coming in and those dedicated hunters come in and are always amazed by the amount of new items.

We brought in over 50 new bar stools and chairs this week in good condition and we are letting them go for a very reasonable price.

We always bring in lots of small items that we dont have time to take pictures, but they are spread around the shop. If you are looking for great vintage furniture, you need to come in and lets make a great deal.
