Unique Items galore….

This past week we got called to some interesting homes and got lots of interesting items. We were informed of a building that was being torn down and we had 2 hours to remove the items that we were interested in. The pressure was crazy, but we were able to pull out some really great items. A 1940’s motorized schwinn bike, light up advertising clock from Armstrong flooring, lots of unique metal signs and so much more. We also purchased a bunch of mid century modern furniture from 2 estates in long island and we purchased over 20 mirrors from a mirror hoarder in the Bronx. This person had a huge home with 7 horse stalls which were converted to garages and they were packed with stuff. As we dug deeper we found 4 saarinen chairs and a matching table. The other items were not interesting enough for us but the mirrors and the table set were great finds.

Then we were off to a hoarder home in Brooklyn where there were hundreds of banana boxes full of stuff nicely organized and labeled. We filled the truck up with lots of vintage dolls, old toys, lots of vintage radios,

advertising, some vintage clothing, tools, and the coolest wrigley gum store displays and some tic tac displays.

We also purchased over 40 cool bar stools and vintage wood folding theater seats from a bar that closed down in williamsburg.

We are off to a home in Greenpoint this morning, so who knows what we will be finding there.

We love loading up our warehouse with great vintage treasures

People that have visited our vintage warehouse know that we have lots of great vintage furniture and more. In fact they would say, you cant possibly fit any more stuff inside your 6,000 sq foot warehouse as it is packed. Well, we managed to overfill it again. We brought in 6 truckloads of more great stuff. Help us sell some items so we can bring in even more next week.

To make room for even more great items, we are selling everything at great prices. Come in and lets make a deal. We offer low cost delivery and we accept all credit cards and venmo as well.

Industrial & Mid Century Modern Furniture – We got it all in this week

After visiting over 20 homes this week in our never ending search for great vintage furniture, we were successful in finding 4 locations with the type of furniture that we know our clients will like.

From a nice home in Mill Basin, we obtained some nice mid century modern pieces. A great handmade wood and brass oriental trunk. Some of them were snatched up the moment we unloaded them off the truck and others will be available starting sunday at 10am. There are great pieces to be had from this great estate.

Next we went to a nice home in long island and we purchased a real nice Mid century modern bedroom set from Hickory furniture,  a great mid century modern brass ceiling lamp, we also got a headboard which we will be converting into a credenza, lets see how buck our woodworker builds this piece.

We then purchased a bunch of items from a juice bar in bay ridge which went out of business. We got a whole bunch of menu chalk boards, some edison lighting, some other

lighting, a bunch of chairs, and other cool items.

Then we went to a artists home in Soho and we got some really great stuff including a bunch of industrial cabinets, a fabulous industrial metal cart, a hamilton flat file cabinet, a bunch of industrial antique bases from drafting tables. A great Antique Remington #5 typewritter, a handmade wood table with great wood sawhorses, a nice work bench, an art deco large mirror and many more items.

BROWN SALTMAN TABLE 3

This week we were lucky to find some really special pieces. Sometimes we find great items in expected places. We go to many homes around the New York area and we really never know what we will get until we get there. We were very happy to find great mid century modern pieces in prospect gardens and a home in North Woodmere. We got back late last night so we didnt have a chance to take pictures, I hope to post pictures saturday night of the latest

finds.

We also made a trip to New City in upstate New York, where we explored a castle of a home which was perched on top of a mountain with a driveway that spanned for over half a mile. To say this place was spectacular is an understatement. It had its own waterfall and stream running along side the home. this home is packed with amazing treasures. Unfortunately many of the treasures were too expensive for me to purchase outright, but I did come back with a few select great items which we will have on display at our warehouse. If you have a large budget and you are looking for large stained glass church windows, huge bronze statues, Indian dowry chest, and other high-end antique furniture feel free to contact me.

We worked like crazy this week bringing in great stuff to Bushwick.

We worked from morning till night every day this week obtaining great items to our Bushwick warehouse at 387 Bushwick Avenue. We brought in So many great mid century dressers and LANE SIDE TABLE that we spent 2 hours  just rearranging things just to make them fit. They are now displayed nicely for you to check out. We also brought in a nice crackled paint armoire and a cool wood collapsible bar cart made in Russia in the 1960’s. Of course I had to bring in 12 new mirrors to fill our already crowded mirror section.

For those of you who like mid century modern lighting, we brought in 5 new retro floor lamps, 7 new mid century table lamps and a totally unique shelving unit with unique lighting built in.

Totally not furniture related but cool vintage nonetheless, a brand new vintage Deblasi folding bike made in italy and a Minn Kota Trolling motor and a gasoline powered motor as well. 3 large brass vases made in spain from the 1960’s, retro thick square cork blocks from the 1960’s as well. For those of you that like carnival glass, we brought in a nice set  in perfect condition. Retro records shelves, book shelves, cool mid century wood and leather tuffeted chairs.

We also brought in a pair of Milo Baughman vinyl accent chairs. We also got the matching sofa which we will be bringing in shortly.

We brought in 7 overflowing cargo vans  of stuff this week and we are planning another busy week next week, so stay tuned for the latest arrivals

 

We also loaded up our thrift store at 1158 flatbush avenue with a bunch of cool stuff like oriental furniture, automatic shirt presser and many more items. Everything is drastically reduced to sell as we need to clear out inventory at super low prices.
