Oh boy people, this week was a very busy week. We worked from morning till night every day.

It was mid century modern picking heaven. We were so lucky in our search for great vintage furniture.

We purchased the entire estate of a gentleman from Westchester whose whole house was decorated with mid century modern furniture. From chairs to desks, to credenzas, dressers and some stunning lighting. We even purchased a Eames lounge chair which needs some tlc.

We also purchased an estate from a elderly woman who come to the United States in the 1950’s and decorated her home with lots of retro furniture. We got a cool credenza with a bar on top, some nice mid century dressers and desks, a cool mid century couch set with coffee table and some small lighting. We couldnt fit all the items in one trip so we will be going back next week to bring the balance to our shop.

Park slope was another destination for us this week as a we visited a lovely brownstone which was loaded…. and I mean loaded with nice vintage items. While we only managed to get 2 mid century pieces from this home (a nice credenza/bar/stereo console & a cool 1970’s yellow bar cart) but they are beauties. We did manage to fill our truck with lots of vintage smalls like vintage walkmen in the box, vintage microphones in the box, vintage perfumes in the box, cassette tapes, tons of vinyl records, and hundreds of other cool unique vintage items.

A couple from bensonhurst was moving to Las Vegas so they called us in to purchase the items that they were not taking with them. We filled up our van twice with the contents of their home. There were so many random things and we are still unpacking many of the items. We did get a nice collection of vintage Beatles items including lots of Beatles magazines from the 1960’s, A working pochink

o machine, an accordian and even a vintage crazy eddy baseball cap. There is still so much to go thru.

We also made a deal for another apartment in the upper west side, which we will be bringing in some really nice pieces next week.

The great items keep coming into the shop on a daily basis, so you really never know what you will find. One thing is for sure, we are always bringing in lots of cool items. check out our instagram feed @reuseamericany for daily posts or come in person and be the first to get them.
